Toxic Titties started out as a biker gang with no bikes. . .

Early Years (2000-2001)

The Titties met in the fall of 2000 while working on our MFA degrees at the California Institute of the Arts. It was love at first sight. Our budding collective spent the next two years terrorizing the institution and tearing through the streets of Los Angeles as a biker gang with no bikes. During this time we frequented a lot of gay bars and when we weren't out on the town, managed to make some very funny art. Creations of those early years include the Biker Bake Sale, the Bakeout series, Beautiful Strangers, Scariest Girls on Sunset, XXX Baby and DramaCam videos. We finished our MFAs as a collaborative team completing one unified thesis exhibition for review. And of course that was just the beginning...
