Domestic Bliss at 10104 Angelo View Drive
High atop a sun-drenched vista in Beverly Hills, overlooking the vast Los Angeles cityscape, the Toxic Titties plan world domination from their opulent ultra-modernist headquarters. This 16mm film was created by the Toxic Titties in collaboration with Austrian artist Dorit Margrieter. We staged a series of performances specifically created for context of the Sheats-Goldstein Residence. This legendary house was created by architect John Lautner in 1963, but today it is primarily used as a backdrop for Hollywood fashion and advertising shoots, narrative films and pornography. Toxic Titties occupied the residence as a feminist militant resistance cell, by transforming it into a messy stronghold for rogue genetic engineering, sexual escapades, glamorous parties, and plots for world domination. The ultimate modernist luxury commodity is cinematically transformed into a covert base for the launch of Toxic Titties global takeover.
